// 01 — Not Professional Advice
This site documents what we did. Not instructions for what you should do. Every decision described here was made for one specific vehicle, one specific family, and one specific set of circumstances. Nothing here translates automatically to your situation.

The content on this Site — including build documentation, guides, product recommendations, and stories — is provided for informational and personal documentation purposes only. It reflects the personal experience and opinions of the author.

Nothing on this Site constitutes professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, structural, automotive, financial, legal, or safety engineering advice. Always consult qualified professionals before undertaking any vehicle conversion, electrical installation, or structural modification.

Van conversions involve real risks — including electrical fires, structural failure, carbon monoxide exposure, and vehicle handling changes. What worked for our specific build may not be appropriate, safe, or legal for yours. Do your own research and get professional sign-off on safety-critical systems.
// 02 — Van Build Safety

Vehicle conversions involve safety-critical modifications that can affect occupant safety, road safety, and insurance coverage. Specifically:

  • Electrical systems — improper wiring is a leading cause of vehicle fires. Our electrical decisions reflect our specific system design. Do not replicate without understanding your own load requirements and local codes.
  • Structural modifications — cutting, drilling, or welding van structure can compromise crash safety. Consult a qualified automotive engineer or body shop.
  • Heating systems — diesel and propane heaters produce combustion gases. Improper installation can cause carbon monoxide poisoning. Always install CO detectors and follow manufacturer installation guidelines exactly.
  • Roof and body penetrations — our build intentionally avoids roof penetrations. If yours requires them, ensure proper waterproofing and structural reinforcement.
  • Weight and handling — added weight from builds changes vehicle handling, braking distance, and tire load ratings. Know your vehicle's GVWR and axle ratings.
  • Insurance — modifications may void your vehicle insurance or require a specialty policy. Disclose all modifications to your insurer.
// 03 — Results May Vary

Our build decisions were made for a specific vehicle (2022 Ford Transit T-250, AWD, Crew Van, High Roof), specific family needs, and specific Canadian climate conditions. Dimensions, fitments, product compatibility, and performance may differ significantly for other vehicles, configurations, or use cases.

Product recommendations reflect our experience or research at the time of writing. We cannot guarantee that products remain available, maintain the same specifications, or perform identically in your application.

// 04 — Information Currency

Van conversion technology, product availability, pricing, and best practices evolve quickly. Content on this Site may become outdated. Publication and update dates are shown on individual pages where available. Always verify current specifications, pricing, and compatibility with manufacturers and retailers before purchasing.

// 05 — Financial Information

Any cost figures, budget estimates, or financial information presented on this Site reflect our specific situation and purchase timing. Costs vary significantly by region, market conditions, vendor, and build scope. Nothing on this Site constitutes financial advice. The author holds professional finance credentials through Valutare Inc. but is not acting in a professional advisory capacity on this Site.
